For a simple translation or editing of a single document, the translation sector tends to charge according to wordcount (giving you a price per word). For published content aimed directly at the target audience or customer base, it is often advised to opt for a 'Translation+Editing' service, where the target text is double-checked for any errors or typos and to ensure it flows naturally (as is the case for copywriting in English). For bigger projects, prices are agreed depending on the services required (translation, transcreation, editing, localisation, SEO-friendly translation, etc.). 4. What about confidentiality?

Any file or document sent to us will be treated with the greatest confidentiality, and on request deleted immediately after use. Frogology will not publish, forward or share your documents with anyone unless we have your express approval and only in order to complete the requested services. We abide by and are bound by GDPR rules and ISO 17100:2015.

5. How long will it take?

The time it takes to translate your documents depends on their size (wordcount), but as a rule of thumb, a short document can often be turned around in a couple of days, and a longer project may take a few days or a couple of weeks (an average translator translates 2,000/3,000 words per day, while proofreading requires around an hour for 1,000 words).

Frogology is specialised in English to French translation and editing. However, if you require your content to be translated into other languages, you can use our project managing service covering many common languages. All our partner linguists are highly qualified and experienced and have been vetted in order to produce a high-quality output.

7. Can you provide a certified translation?

Accepted Answer

Yes - Frogology's founder Chloe is a qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and features on the French Consulate’s list of approved translators. As such, she is able to certify translations from English into French. Types of documents covered include birth, marriage and death certificates, police (ACRO) certificates, change of name deeds, divorce decrees etc.
